Bay of Islands, 29 October 1842

Reverend Father
[1]
Still following the same instructions, I am informing you beforehand that today I am drawing on the allocations of 1841 and 1842 for the sum of two thousand eight hundred francs, to the order of Mr H Thompson and Company, and in triplicate. We will soon make arrangements to bring, safely and quickly, the funds which are allocated to this mission.
[2]
I have the honour to be, with respect and gratitude,
Reverend Father,
Your most humble and obedient servant,
+ J(ean) B(aptis)te F(ranç)ois Pompallier, Bishop, Vic(ar) Ap(ostolic)
