4 June 1846 — Fr Antoine Dubreul to Fr Jean-Claude Colin, Sydney
Translated by Peter McConnell, October 2010
- Sydney, 4 June 1846
:To reverend Father Colin at Lyon,
- [1]
- -- I am letting you know that in order to pay the expenses of the missions of the Marist Society, I have drawn a draft for thirty days for an amount of six hundred pounds sterling in the names of Fathers Joubert and Murphy on the account of Mrs Guérin ( widow) and sons at Lyon. Be so good as to put the money to her use; my letter of June 5 1846 will give you the reasons for this action.
- Very reverend Father, please accept the respectful greetings
- of your very humble and very obedient servant,
- Antoine Dubreul,
- Procurator for the Marist Society missions in Oceania.
- of your very humble and very obedient servant,
