On my request you have been pleased to grant me at Lyttleton and at Christchurch a place as a Rom. Cath. Burying ground. At Lyttleton I have, with Mr Jollie Chief Surveyor, pointed out the place, and you have been kind enough to take upon yourself

to have the same done at Christchurch. You would oblige me very much if you would honore (sic) me with few lines on that object before my return there. The sudden departure of the vessel kept me from going to ask you that favour.
