Transl. Jessie Munro 2005. Checked Madeleine le Jeune 2006.
- Very Reverend Father,
- As I’m very pressed for time with all the printing purchases, I only have time to write you a quick note for each article. I authorise you to pay the demand bill of Monsieur Lentaigne [?], paper supplier. This bill amounts net to two thousand, seven hundred francs. I intend to write more at length by the next mail.
- Always your most obedient child,
- Paris, 27 Oct. 1840
